Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Wincheap B&B is often praised for its convenient location, placing guests within a comfortable 15-20 minute walk to the Cathedral and city center, sometimes even through a pleasant park. Guests appreciate the clean, spacious, and modern rooms, which often include amenities like a TV, fan, fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities; some rooms also offer the added benefit of air conditioning. Breakfast receives consistent positive feedback, with options ranging from a cooked English breakfast to a buffet with cereals, yogurt, and fruit, including gluten-free choices; however, a few guests have noted that single rooms located in the attic can be quite small and challenging to access with heavy luggage.

a tender stay

wonderful host cozy room amazing breakfast ideal location
terry was a wonderful host. i stayed for several nights, and the room felt clean and quite cozy. breakfast options tasted amazing, with everything prepared with such love. i found that the location was ideal with an easy walk into town.
the parking spot was just a short distance away, but carrying my heavy suitcase felt a bit difficult to manage alone. this detail was very minor though.

Adequate Stay with Some Issues

small room difficult transport
Breakfast choices were adequate and included several options.
My room was located on the top floor. Transporting heavy luggage was difficult. The room was quite small. I found it difficult to manage luggage and myself in the limited space.

Acceptable stay close to city center

perfect location wonderful host lovely breakfast attic room small room distant parking
I found the location very convenient. It was very close to the center. There were many attractions, including great restaurants and pubs. Chris and Perry were wonderful hosts. They provided a lovely breakfast each morning.
My single room was at the TOP in the attic. This is VERY difficult with heavy luggage or a large suitcase. The room IS tiny. Luggage and a guest together do not really have space. The parking lot is on a parallel street. It is not really easy to reach with heavy luggage.
